Mainline Democrat politicians like Sen. Elizabeth Warren are now hopping on the 'abolish ICE' bandwagon, a slogan made popular by illegal aliens and communists. The question is, 'why would you abolish a law enforcement agency enforcing the law, only to replace it with another law enforcement agency? Would they be expected to not enforce the law? And if that's the case, why replace it?

Tucker Carlson warned of the repercussions of the far-left's vision to abolish the agency of Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

"For centuries, America fought crime by hiring police," Carlson said. "[But,] fire the police and [you] redefine lawbreaking as an act of virtue. If there's no enforcement, there's no crime."

Carlson said that the upset House primary win of Bronx, N.Y. socialist activist Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D) seemed to spark a call from a few other people on the left to abolish the agency.

Ocasio-Cortez, who defeated House Democratic Caucus Chair Rep. Joseph Crowley (D-N.Y.), campaigned on abolishing ICE, supporting LGBTQ rights and impeaching President Donald Trump.

Carlson said that, soon after that result, Sen. Kirsten Gillibrand of New York -- who he said is a "career opportunist" -- announced her support for abolishing ICE.

He said that neither Ocasio-Cortez, nor Gillibrand, nor fellow ICE abolition supporters Sen. Kamala Harris (D-Calif.) and New York Mayor Bill de Blasio (D), are thinking about what the effect of that move might be.

Carlson said dozens of American cities could begin resembling cities like Tijuana, Mexico, and that "our border will become irrelevant."

Carlson added that not a large number of Democrats do not support the idea forwarded by Gillibrand and Ocasio-Cortez.

However, he said that abolishing ICE is a "radical position" that it is likely the "new normal on the left."
