Millions funnelled to pro-amnesty Catholic Legal Immigration Network

WASHINGTON (ChurchMilitant.com) - A week after a "caravan" of more than a thousand would-be immigrants made its way from Central America into Mexico, it's emerging that a Catholic group is colluding with atheist billionaire George Soros to facilitate their northward push.
The caravan is organized by open-borders group Pueblo sin Fronteras (PSF). A self-described "collective of friends who decided to be in permanent solidarity with displaced peoples," PSF lays out its mission on its website: "We accompany migrants and refugees in their journey of hope and together demand our human rights."
(Note: Pueblo sin Fronteras is a different group than People without Borders, a U.S. Christian-based nonprofit aimed at helping recent immigrants assimmilate into American society.)
On Thursday, Glenn Beck outlined the money trail.
As PSF facilitates caravans along their northward push, they're helped by on-the-ground coordinators in the United States — chief among them, Alex Mensing, a leading Texas-based coordinator for CARA Family Detention Pro Bono Project.
Pro bono, Beck noted Thursday, "means nobody has to pay for it — but somebody is."
Describing CARA as "an umbrella group that focuses on providing services to illegal immigrants," Beck pointed out that one of its key members is the Catholic Legal Immigration Network, Inc. (CLINIC), a prominent player "in the open borders lobby fighting for the rights and amnesty for illegal immigrants."
Beck revealed that for almost a decade, CLINIC has been showered each year with "giant checks from George Soros."
"Now, George Soros is a known atheist. He's supporting ... this Catholic group. Why would an atheist do that?" he asked. "Well, because he believes in what they're doing. What is it that they're doing? Making sure that illegals can come across our border."
"The trail goes back years," Beck continued. "In 2009, Soros gave the Catholic Legal Immigration Network over half a million dollars. But as the immigration debate heated up, so did the checks. Soros in 2015 increased his funding to $970,000."
Through his Open Society Foundations, Soros lavishes billions of dollars on leftist, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) around the world, promoting abortion, contraception, sterilization and LGBT ideology.
In March 2017, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orbán, one of Soros' most vocal critics, named the billionaire activist a global threat and went on to warn of a "Soros Plan" to de-Christianize Europe by flooding the continent with millions of migrants from North Africa and the Middle East.
Through his Open Society Foundations, Soros lavishes billions of dollars on leftist, non-governmental organizations (NGOs) around the world, promoting abortion, contraception, sterilization and LGBT ideology.
In December 2016, it was revealed that Soros is actively involved in attempts to legalize abortion in Ireland and Poland, channeling millions of dollars into staged protests in those majority Catholic countries.
He's also known to have bankrolled anti-government protests in Hungary, Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Macedonia and Romania, attempting to manipulate national policy to suit his desired ends.
That any Catholic group would ally itself with Soros is troubling to faithful Catholics but not necessarily surprising.
In a 60 Minutes interview last September, former White House Chief Strategist Steve Bannon, a Catholic, hammered U.S. bishops for pressing America's political leaders to ignore the country's immigration laws.
Because they're unwilling to address root problems in the Church, Bannon said, the bishops "need illegal aliens to fill the churches."
"It's obvious on the face of it," Bannon said. "They have an economic interest in unlimited immigration, unlimited illegal immigration."
"I totally respect the pope, and I totally respect the Catholic bishops and cardinals on doctrine," he added. "This is not about doctrine. This is about the sovereignty of a nation."
